Why We Still Need A Government

While I am angered frequently by the growing power of our government, I have begun to think of the positives of a government. Our government is more invasive then it had ever been for a reason. Not only does hunger for power cause our government to grow, but the main cause of growth is the people's fear of the greater evil,Big Business. We forget that at least the government exists to help us. While it increasingly helps it self,we can still trust it to defend our lives from invasion. But Business by it's nature is greedy. It always looks for ways of getting more of our money for less of theirs. Without government intervention against the meat markets we would still be eating moldy food and feces covered beef and pork. We are also protected by thieves and other criminals by the government but often it is business that creates those theives. If the government is starting to look better to you, it should but only if it is in moderation and under the peoples control. Just look at it like this, nowadays the government has the greater capability of damage but business does damage much more often and there for causes more damage. Usually it's a business type government that we get angered by most, E.g the Businesses involved in profiting off Iraq.
