The more guns citizens can have lowers the murder rate.

It may be common sense to say that more guns means more gun murders, but the truth is the more armed the nation the less murders. In countries like Cuba which has extensive gun control bans, murder is 7.8 per every 100,000. Yet in Switzerland, where all men over 18 are required to own an assault weapon with ammunition, the murder rate is only 2.7 out of every 100,100. And in Russia where guns are very restricted and completely illegal to own and carry, the murder rate is 30.6 per one hundred thousand. And in Israel where most people are heavily armed the murder rate was only 1.6 per one hundred thousand in 1996(Yet the rate has probably gone way up do to the recent terrorist activity spike.)

This goes to show that it is statistically shown that a heavily armed people is a safe people. And a country where guns are outlawed and therefor only possessed by those willing to break the laws in the first place, homicide is far greater. This is because of the fact that it is much easier for a murderer to kill someone who cant fight back. Yet when the intended victims can easily level the playing field with another fire arm, the murder rate is much lower.
