We all want to help

Everyone wants to help the rest of the world, but how much do you know about it? Who is the leader of Denmark, whats the literacy rate in uganda? Why are the Tutsis and why do they hate Hutus? Why is Chechnea so unstable? And what in gods good name is a freakin Luxemburg?

Why do we assume the rest of the world needs our help? are we so patronizing to believe without any knowledge of the subject at all, that Africa NEEDS us? Are they not humans who can help themselves?
I recently saw a video on Youtube made by a South African white man who is experiencing racism. I also noticed that unlike Americans who always assume the 3rd world is so hating, this man was sympathetic to the Black Africans. He explains how the S.A government tries to use affermative action as a way of revenge that hurts blacks and whites. He is in a third world country where they have to shut off entire cities power for 3-4 hours to run the other cities, and he was so much more informed than I am with my hundreds of electronics running and access to uncensored information at all times.
What does this say about Americans? How can we ignore the very relevent facts involving other countries such as thier freaking location on earth!!! Are we idiots?YES.Are we lazy? YES. Are we too comfortable with ourselves? YES YES and MORE YES.
If you think Africa needs help, then look at yourselves! WE need help, and fast. We will one day be part of the most powerful nation on a troubled planet filled with those who hate our ignorance enough to kill us. Are we that stupid to think "Gee im glad we are the powerful ones, you know America the nation which is 19th out of 31 countries in freaking math!!!!
I mean honestly we all hear about Iran and korea but how many of you can find it on a map?
